Ferox: You are correct.

But I suspect that most do hit-and-run not because the content is not interesting, but because they never intended to stay, even if it was interesting. So, I’d have to have something extraordinary, that would catch the eye first, the mind later.

I agree that most of the entrecard users are hit-n-run cases, but it depends on your blog as well. I never drop my card on any site that I don't find worthy of it. And the percentage of traffic that comes from entrecard to my blog, and participates is fairly good. Abhinav Sood's last blog post..It was a Bag-full of Problems at Inspirit, Yesterday!

It largely depends on what sort of blog you have. I use Entrecard, and although most card droppers hit-and-run, a few do read an article or even comment. Those are largely from people writing within my own niche. If you update frequently and have catchy titles or good pictures, your entrecard traffic will be more productive.
