I don’t think that switching a theme too often is a good idea too. If you must switch themes, my guess is once a quarter would be ok. I would also give my readers a heads-up post, or use a banner, to say “Hey guys, I’m switching my theme tomorrow. Come by to say what you think…”

Hi Alex,
I enjoyed this post because I have just switched my theme to give my blog a more personal feel, after going through many different free themes… The hardest part is going to actually decide on one and stick with it for a longer period, because I think it will be very confusing for returning visitors to see a different style every time they enter… don´t you think?

How frequently does one need to change a theme, any thoughts on that?
