Well boys and girls, this has been in the oven for quite a while now.
Actually, the oven was on during the whole last year of me blogging on this blog. The problem was that blogging is way too comfortable for someone like me. You sit down in your home office, you write, you’re being social..
Anyway, this comfort zone had a high fence around it with barbed wire and German shepherds trying to keep me in. But, I’ve finally made the switch and going into PPC affiliate marketing full time.
Hooray! And, as you can see I’m still blogging though. Lol.. And that’s the way it is going to be. What better way of keeping your spirits than having a place to vent your frustrations or share your success?
Well, what are the first steps I took before plunging in?
I now realize that I should have spent my time following the leading affiliate marketers on their blogs. But, wtf. The year was well spent and I learned alot.
I finally made my choice and joined PPC-Coach. The program offers a great set of tools and it has a great community which is constantly active on the forums. And, of course, there’s the coach, which personally sends you feedback when you ask for it.
The hardest part in the beginning is to stop reading and start doing. That’s exactly what the coaching does. It walks you through a few guides, few of which you might already picked up elsewhere, and then smacks you in the face, forcing you to get your butt up and do some actual PPC.
Great!
Well, that’s it for today. I’m off to pursue my dream. (Where are you headed?)

Hey, thanks Wes!!!
Hope you wouldn’t mind if I leverage on your comment and ask you what would you recommend for a beginner in PPC, using the prosper202 or tracking202.com?
Cheers,
Alex.

AHA! Very good!
p.s.
Did Caroline M. blacklisted you from her comments a while ago?
Nice to see you are going to the effort to get educated! You are sure to succeed!
Thanks Tom!
Nice to see you here. I used to read your old blog a year ago…
Not just read PPC blogs but one thing I’ve learned is that you have to read terms from ppc networks such as adwords and yahoo search marketing… Oftentimes people always ask for basic things because they’ve never paid attention to reading the basic stuffs like that

Hey Melvin,
Yes I know!
And people do the strangest things with their campaigns only to wonder later why their account got banned from Adwords or the other networks…

hey Alex!
:P
what a surprise to see you actually posted twice while I was gone, maybe I should leave more often
Gotta say, I really miss your regular posts so please get a little more comfortable over here again!!!!!!

HEY!!
So, you’re back eh?
Your leaving had nothing to do with my posting. It is just that I found my true calling and this blog is now serving the purpose it should have from the beginning.
Like I was saying in the post, blogging provided me with far more comfort than I signed up for
During this year I was playing the game of posts’ frequencies, blog commenting strategies, directory submission, etc… And I felt that I was doing something. In reality I was threading water.
But now all is clear. The posts are the results of my PPC journey. The traffic (which has got a little boost lately) appears to be more natural and organic, since this is somewhat of an interest to others, apparently. So this is a true win-win.
well I for one am really looking forward to seeing more about your adventures, so I hope you keep your loyal readers (me
) updated
and yes I am back, man that was one crazy week!!!
My parents are absolutely mad about wine and gastronomy and boy did we enjoy that combination big time! First the drive over, leaving at 4.30 am to make sure I would arrive before lunch and then enjoying a fair called lo mejor de la gastronomia (the best of gastronomy) where all the best of Spanish gastronomy was represented accompanied by a lot of great wines, dining in 3 star Michelin restaurants and prize winning chefs of the above mentioned fair and last but not least a tiring 1000 kilometers drive back …
I´m still completely impressed with all I have seen last week!

you know, it’s midnight already, but you got me all drooling and craving for a glass of wine and… emm… anything else that goes with the wine.
Unfortunately I am not going to indulge in this, as my wife would kill me, and I don’t have steak.
But, it makes me think of going out for a nice little business lunch adventure tomorrow
I just saw your comment on my blog and was wondering about something. first of all, know that I have very little experience with ppc and the experience i did have was having my cc maxed out “unexpectedly” because of a stupid mistake and not paying attention so that made leave PPC and leave it to the people that know what they are doing ROFL
Anyways, what I was wondering about, do you actually contact the administrator of the product you set up a campaign for to get some inside information and support to market their product more succesfully with ppc?
FYI, just posted and “nudged” you

Hey Mirjam,
I work with my Affiliate Manager on the Network, which is great! Market Leverage is great for that personal touch. A lot of help, not as banging my head on the clickbank/CJ wall, where there’s no such thing as an AM…
Saw your post. Thanks for the nudge. But, I’m over my head in PPC, so it’s not the time yet.
Excellent that you get help from an affiliate manager, I am sure you will get the hang of it that way!
