During the last couple of days I was working on a campaign for a Click Bank product, One Week Marketing.

It was written by my friend Jennifer (you might also know her as the PotPieGirl), and last night I thought I just had to post about it here as well.

See, this campaign is rather unique for me because:

I got to actually read it and use it before deciding I wanted to market it. I usually don’t have that opportunity because I market CPA offers

After reading, I realized that a lot of the techniques taught in that ebook are techniques that I was actually already using in some form. The difference is that it took me a full year to refine these techniques, and even today, they were not as clear to me as after reading through this system

I will keep this one brief as I don’t plan to vigorously sell it to you. Why?

Because you are marketers like me, and I’m sure that buying another ebook is not something you were planning to do. Never again, right?
(but, having said that, it’s just wrong not to sprinkle affiliate links all over the place )

Edit: just in case you somehow become interested, keep in mind I’m offering a $20 rebate for my members (Obviously, you have already opted in to become one? Yea? Got all the free stuff I’m giving away?)

This system works, I know that because I’ve been coming to the same ideas and perfecting the same methods myself during the last year. But, what’s even more important, this system focuses you and makes you know exactly what to do each day.

I’m sure I’m not the only one having my attention spread impossibly thin. Between my blog, PPC campaigns, article marketing, reading and commenting on other bogs. Sometimes I can have my day go through and realize I actually didn’t achieve anything today that generates revenue…

The concept is that each day of the week is scheduled for you

One Week Marketing is a plan. A marketing plan that worked for a successful marketer and that is designed to work for anyone.

You’re getting a 7 day schedule, with the whole marketing process broken down into daily tasks. Each day will have a list of actions to take that will, by the end of the week, result in a full scale Internet Marketing campaign. All of that using free methods.

Each task will not cost you a dime btw, making the whole system suitable to beginners or those running low on budget.

This process is to be repeated during the following week with a different product, and then the next; as many times as you would like, keeping in mind that the more you work the more you harvest.

Mastering this system takes the guesswork out of internet marketing, because all of the required steps are right there, laid out for you black on white. Very unlike ebooks that hit you with the 80+ pages standard, and expect you to sort it out by yourself, trying to connect the dots of with the other five ebooks you recently bought.

In the package you will find:

OWM Guide, which explains what and why you are going to do

OWM Mind Maps, which will visualize the concept

OWM Action Plan, which contains the actions to take each day

OWM Checklist, speaks for itself, doesn’t it?

And a case study, which I find fascinating, where Jennifer takes a real-life noob and drives him towards marketing success using OWM

Anyway, you’ve read this far, therefore I can only recommend you to optin to get the free 18 pages of the ebook Jennifer is offering.

Just to get a glimpse and to calm your curiosity. It’s absolutely free, and will take you 5 minutes.

And, I’m sure she will not bombard you with spam. Worst case scenario: you unsubscribe…

Enjoy

Two months ago I was contemplating entering the PPC Affiliate Marketing game. I was starting to shift to reading PPC related blogs and struggle with myself about plunging in and trying out Adwords with some offer – any offer, just to test what is this all about.

Surprisingly enough, it was John Chow’s blog that got me to look at PPC-Coach. He was pitching a rather overpriced coaching program started by one of the reigning “super affiliates”, and in one of the comments I saw a suggestion to check out PPC-Coach since it was cheap and offered loads of value – only $49CAD.

Since I knew this commentator from other blogs, and I knew he was not into pitching sleazy offers (hell, he didn’t even put his affiliate link up there even though I asked for it), I went on to check out this PPC-Coach.

A simple recap of everything on PPC-Coach

PPC-Coach stands on three pillars (omg, I’m a poet):

Videos and tutorials bringing you up to date on what this program is all about.

An active forum where the Coach himself helps out other members. Very unlike other coaching program forums where the “founder” is nowhere to be seen.

A set of tools (see below) that you will need to do PPC. This set of tools is a must for every PPC marketer, and I saw similar tools sold separately elsewhere for big bucks.

Basically what’s going to happen when you sign up is that you watch the videos, go to the section of the forum called Month1. There you will be told the exact technique, offers and tools you’re going to use during that first month.

You will actually know what and how to promote. Trying to decide this alone is what makes many quit even before starting. I know, because I spent two months searching for offers and thinking about how to sell them, lol…

Then you actually start working and use the forum as your support network, which IMO is the most value for your buck (yes, there’s the tools, but tools without knowing how to use them don’t worth a penny). Having the people on the forum to back you up and answer the stupidest of your questions is worth a world to me.

Did you ever try asking anything (that is trivial to others) on WickedFire or the WarriorForum? No? You will have 30 replies convincing you that you’re a noob, that they are all better than you, and eventually you don’t get anything.

Everyone in PPC-Coach were noobs once (although there are a few that are making over $2,000 a day, but they are there for, like, a year..), and it’s based on helping each other not on bragging how good one is and how crappy is the other.

What’s Next?

Every month you’re introduced to a new technique and another market/merchant/offer. It is usually a more advanced method and you should really move on when you’re comfortable with the previous month. And here is another great thing about it – It drives you forward. You stop working, you stop making money. As simple as that.

What would you probably not like about PPC-Coach?

You have to be prepared that there’s a massive amount of information revealed to you once you sign up. The videos, the text guides and the forum threads that you cannot miss… You will spend the first week reading, digesting info and trying to go insane.

The other thing is that the Coach assumes you have some basic technical skill, i.e.: setting up a hosting account, buying domains, creating subdomains, ftp clients. Although it’s not usually a problem, because the other members are eager to help, I would dedicate a special “completely clueless” tutorial to give an overview of everything basic.

My Sumary

If you want to stop dreaming and start doing you need a mentor or a coach to drive your forward, offer you a helping hand, criticize and praise your work. There are a few programs out there that offer you PPC coaching, but most are all hype and don’t live up to expectations.

PPC-Coach will offer you this set of tools:

Keyword Tracker – a very cool tracker software with lots of automation that keeps track of your campaigns, adgroups, keywords and ads in realtime. There are members using Prosper202 now switching to this one, because of how fast you can setup a campaign with it. (a campaign with rotating landing pages and rotating offers takes minutes. Did you ever try doing this with Prosper? Could take a good hour and a half…)

Campaign Generators – these will let you build large campaigns in a minute. Ever hear of Speed PPC?

URL Scrapers

Iframe Scripts

Landing Site Generators

Keyword Wrappers

Budget Calculators

Offers Database

You will have the help of the members of the program and the help of the coach himself.

For a this price it is a bargain. For 49CAD you should give it a try for at least a month and then decide. Don’t be with a “Did I miss an opportunity” feeling this time.

Oh yea, wait for my next post – I might me able to give you a further discount.

EDIT (14/01/09): Ok, now it’s official – I’m giving you a 50% discount… head over here to read about it

Lately I’ve been more into affiliate marketing than blogging, hence the frequency of posts. I’ve been reading a lot, blog hopping, and experimenting.

On this journey I’ve stumbled upon a contest held by Tyler Cruz, which is sponsored by Market Leverage, an affiliate network that has great future ahead of it. If you just can’t hold yourself till the end of this post, go right now to check out the details at the Affiliate Marketing Challenge page.

This is actcually the fifth (monthly) contest he holds and I’m just sorry I didn’t hear about it several months ago, because the prizes are really great. And if you’ve had some experience in affiliate marketing then getting those prizes is not that hard either.

“There is over $11,000 worth of prizes up for grabs ($11,120 to be exact) including a 52″ 1080p HDTV, Alienware computer package, Playstation 3, and 16GB iPod Touch to name a few.

Whether you’re a super affiliate, medium affiliate, or brand new to affiliate marketing, we have prizes aimed just for your skill level. We even have prizes for bloggers who post about this contest, so everybody is eligible to win a prize as long as you either do affiliate marketing or have a blog.” (TylerCruz.com)

To get the prizes you’ll have to sign up to Market Leverage using Tyler’s affiliate link and do what you do best. You cannot participate, though, if you are already working with Market Leverage. Oh wait – that’s not entirely correct. You can still write a blog post promoting the contest and get a chance to win a bloggers’ prize.

Now, go and have some affiliate fun at Tyler’s!

This is not going to be a traditional blog review, but rather a big thumbs-up from me.

It was some time now that I stopped reading the Blogging Experiment. It was started in July ‘07, with the purpose of seeing if it was possible to make a full income from this blog within a year.

When I first discovered this blog I was an eager follower, foreseeing this guy’s success, and trying to learn a few things myself along the way. With time passing by though, I realized I was not getting the value I was paying for.

The author indeed made progress with the blog’s income, and offered the standard ‘how to make money online’ content, which was good, but I didn’t quite got used to his style of writing. If I was to put my finger on something, I’d say that the main reason I finally unsubscribed was that he was never getting too personal.

I was never under an impression that he is trying to have a conversation with its readership. This conversation, that can be found on blogs of different sizes, makes you follow the blog for months and even years. That is the feeling that I’m having when reading Darren’s blog, Caroline’s blog, Mirjam’s blog and quite a few others, each of them different in its way, but it is that feeling that makes me stick around and participate.

Blogging Experiment’s Second Life

Late March the author decided that he was better off selling Blogging Experiment. I never knew about what was going on, but only read about it after the deal was signed. It appears that it took it under 24 hours to sell.

Holding my breath, as I’m sure many readers of this blog did, I waited to see who was the new sheriff in town.

Judging by the few articles that were published since, Max Davis is pretty good with what he does. Sharing his knowledge with a go-get-it approach and a very lucid style, he made me come back for more and eventually hitting that big orange button for the second time. I will keep reading his posts with hopes that the quality keeps on its current level.

I’d recommend everyone to give it a go and read one of these articles, to get the general feel of this reincarnated blog:

Early February I briefly reviewed SiteHoppin.com as a way to efficiently drop Entrecards. I would like to revert to that service, since there have been some very important developments most of you would want to hear.

SiteHoppin.com is a browser within a browser that offers stumble functionality without you installing any software. Apparently it does a good job, as StubmleUpon has banned Sitehoppin.com and Sitehoppin.com/blog from its premises.

While it was previously appealing mainly to Entrecard users, as this service allowed to hop from one Entrecard participating site to another with a click of a button, now it sports a somewhat broader reach.

SiteHoppin.com has gone beyond its niche

Lately, Sitehoppin.com added a functionality that would allow users to exchange credits for traffic. This would appeal to every webmaster / blogger out there on their quest to drive more traffic to their sites. With this functionality, currently in beta testing, Sitehoppin.com has become quite an efficient traffic exchange service.

This is what is it about:

The registered user will receive 1 Beer Credit (BC) for one hop from site to site and 5 BC for rating a site, which would accumulate on his account.

At an appropriate timing, e.g. while promoting a new article or service, the user can turn on the traffic exchange functionality. When turned on, each 10 BC that has been accumulated on the account would be exchanged for 1 visit from another randomly selected user to a predetermined page.

My Opinion

I’ve been testing this new functionality during the last couple of days and I see great potential in its future. Not only I’ve seen incoming traffic to the selected page on my blog, it’s not been that hit-and-run traffic you’d expect:

1.86 pages per visit

57.14% Bounce Rate

00:08:12 Avg. Time on Site

This means that people were clicking through and reading my content, and that means good traffic.

The Chief Engineer, Mr. Max Lee, did a terrific job despite the humorous, drunken video posts on his blog, which are good entertainment. Trying to read between the lines, I’d say Max has got some big ideas, and he’s not going to let anything like StumbleUpon ban to stop him. Mark my words, in one month I will be reviewing a brand new feature on his site! (In one year I’ll hold 20% of shares in SiteHoppin Inc.)

Things I’d like to see:

A limit functionality – the ability to set how much BC to spend at each time. I’ve lost almost all of mine during one peak hour.

One exchanged visit per user – while testing I noticed that one user could be directed to a promoted site several times, resulting in debiting of BC’s but no impact on the site stats. And, obviously that user would just browse through your site since he’s been there before.

No self-visits – while testing I noticed that a user could be redirected to his own site, resulting in debiting of his BC’s for his own visit.

Several pages as destination – the ability to distribute incoming traffic to 1-3 of my pages.

And maybe a bit later down the road:

Some Geo- functionality – the ability to decide from where to receive the traffic.

Timer functionality – combined with the Geo, it would be a great idea to receive US traffic while they are awake… just kidding, that would make promotion campaigns much more efficient.

Ok, I guess that’s it. I will post updates if my testing will pop any more issues.

Everyone preaches web 2.0 nowadays. You got to have a web 2.0 site / blog, have web 2.0 ads, join a web 2.0 social network, use a web 2.0 “office” utilities, and the list never ends. Some even preach web 2.5 (cheers Max!).

Now, visit Max’ blog and, after having a few laughs, ignore the content for a while. Take a look at what video sharing provider Max is using. It’s not your ever-present YouTube, it is Metacafe. It took me quite a while to actually get myself to visit their site and to see what is it all about.

First of all, Metacafe has a unique VideoRank system that lets users rank your video, which would get the popular videos to the Highest Rated list on their homepage. But, the most important difference is…

Metacafe is Paying You for Showing Your Videos

Metacafe is paying you for showing your videos. According to their Producer Rewards programme, you would receive $5 for every 1,000 views. But, you have to get more than 20,000 views on that video, and be rated at least 3.00 to start receiving money during the first 6 months the video is there.
Seems good to me. Provided you have good content and good marketing skills it really shouldn’t be a problem.

At least it is not as lame as on YouTube, where they have a monetization scheme, but it is only for the most popular users, and it is based on sharing revenue from advertisements placed near the video (who notices those anymore?).

When I start producing videos for this blog, and I inevitably would in the future, I would definitely go for Metacafe. (And I don’t even being paid a commission for this post)

Have fun.
