Don’t you hate it when something happens to prevent your blogging routine. You start feeling all fidgety and nervous, and you realize that it is the blogging that’s causing this. Like a nervous smoker looking for that few hits, you start looking for an available computer, or for a spare minute at work.
I have experienced quite a few times during the last few months. Once, there was a busy week at work that never allowed my to stay up to date during the day, and I also had to bring some work home, so I couldn’t post any coherent articles during the evenings of this week.
But today is a real emergency. My new chair has broke down, and became unsittable. It all began when I decided to buy a new chair and retire (throw away) the old one. I spent hours shopping for that perfect chair that would bring me joy during the long hours blogging. Finally I had it, and the old one was jettisoned immediately. Little did I know that my new fancy $200 orthopaedic monster would quit on me 7 days after getting acquainted with my behind.
I’m writing this post standing on my knees. A rather religious experience… Why don’t I use a different chair, you might ask. I don’t have another chair. We live in a space-efficient household, with everything having its own purpose. It so happens that I don’t have an available chair to fit my workstation.
Anyhoo, since I’m not used to prayer, and my knees start to hurt, I will have to call it a day. Hope to hop to one of the shops tomorrow to get myself a new chair!
